Testing during February and March 2014 went well. On test were the four exhaust systems, various spring and damper rates, three antiroll bars, ride heights, and more.
When I was out testing, I had an interesting conversation with Andy Wallace (multiple winner of Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans races and one-time fellow competitor in the Blancpain Lamborghini Super Trofeo)) regarding the preloading of suspension springs. A geeky subject maybe, but what a difference it makes….
Brian Lister phoned me to ask how things were going. This is a rare honour. Apparently, the fact that I am hands-on had something to do with it. He asked to be kept informed on my race season in Lister BHL110.
The Lister is now race ready. Unseen this side of the Atlantic it will be racing in the Salvadori Cup at the end of March in the Goodwood 72nd Members’ Meeting and in the Motor Racing Legends, Stirling Moss Trophy races.
This years I shall also be sharing Simon Watts’ racing cars: a 1970 Datsun 240Z, a 1963 Aston Martin DB4 Lightweight, and a 1957 Ford Zephyr Zodiac Mk1. A busy season with the possible addition of racing in the prestigious Maserati Trofeo World Series.
More news as it happens….
