Roberto has over 35 years of Motorsport experience and over 30
outright race wins. Involved in all aspects of Motorsport, Roberto
is a qualified engineer and has a complete understanding of cars and
circuits.
Roberto has test driven all kinds of racing cars including
Formula One and Le Mans cars. In 2005 and 2006 he was invited to
race in the Maserati Trofeo Championship. In 2009 he was invited by Lamborghini to drive in three races in the Blancpain Super Trofeo Championship.
By booking a day's instruction with Roberto you will receive:
- An informative briefing on the theory of fast driving
- Racers secrets and techniques
- Correct cornering lines and how to find them at new tracks
- Handling Consultancy, measurement and adjustment
- Threshold braking and Trail braking
- Heel and toe down-changes
- FWD and RWD techniques
- Controlling oversteer and understeer
- And if it rains - wet driving techniques
You will need to supply:
- The car – any road-worthy car will do, it doesn’t have to be
fast. Roberto supplies an intercom system for two-seater racing
cars.
- The cost of the track - Roberto fits into the track day of your
choice. You will be sent a list of track day availability,
including costs and phone numbers for direct booking.
- On the day, you pay Roberto's fee, which is £475 per day.
Plus travel expenses at 40p. per mile round trip from Sunbury on
Thames and basic accommodation cost of £90 for
circuits over 100 miles from base.
- If you want insurance, try your own insurers or a specialist
insurer. You will be required to sign a circuit waiver and an
instructor waiver on the day. To date Roberto has a 100% safety
record.
Set-up Consultancy
Roberto is a qualified engineer, in 2008/9 he successfully developed the handling and set-up of the
legendary 1963 ex Roy Salvadori 5.0 Cooper-Maserati Sports Racing
Car. Apart from racing the Cooper-Maserati, he also races the famous
1965 ex-Ian Walker Team Lotus 26R.
For 2009 he developed and raced several interesting cars.
Qualified RAC MSA ARDS Class 'A' Race Instructor Licence, Roberto
instructs part-time for Thruxton Motorsport Centre and at
Manufacturers Days.

- You will then receive a full-day of one-to-one intensive
driver training.
- Valuable set-up advice included.
- Your car’s handling assessed and changes made (depending on
car, and crew and equipment available).
