Roberto’s set-up services are available to individuals or professional teams who want to supply perfectly set-up cars to their customers.

The most cost effective way to be quicker and safer

By booking a day with Roberto you will receive:

• Intensive driver training - experienced racers to novices
• Valuable handling consultancy, measurement and adjustment
• Racers secrets and techniques
• And if it rains, wet driving techniques
• A comprehensive guide on race driving and set-up notes

You supply:

• The car – any road-worthy car, or 2-seater racing car. Roberto supplies an intercom system for noisy cars. If you are unable to supply a car, hire cars are available from trackday companies. For single seaters Roberto would drive for set-up purposes, and a 2-seater car would be required for race instruction.
• The cost of the track - Roberto fits into the trackday of your choice. You will be sent a list of trackday availability, including costs and details for direct booking
• On the day, you pay Roberto's fee, which is £495 per day (for UK circuits over 100 miles from London £POA). Discounts apply for repeat business, please enquire.
• If you want insurance, try your own insurers or specialist trackday insurers. You will be required to sign a circuit waiver and Roberto’s waiver on the day. Roberto has an excellent safety record

Set-up Consultancy

Your race car may be superbly prepared by a top race team, but unless it is regularly track-tested and set-up by a professional test driver, it may not be performing at its best.

Roberto is experienced in working in partnership with teams or preparers to adjust your car and get the most from it. This is the most cost-effective way of going quicker as well as safeguarding and improving your investment.

For example a recent customer with a 1960 Formula Junior had raced at four Goodwood Revival meetings – always on the same lap times. After a car-and-driver session with Roberto he was consistently 3.5 seconds per lap quicker.

Experience

Roberto is a qualified engineer; he successfully built winning cars and developed the handling and set-up of countless cars. He is also a current racer in a variety of prestigious cars, often partnering his clients in 2-driver races.

Roberto has over 35 years of Motorsport experience with dozens of race wins. He has test driven all kinds of racing cars including Formula One Ferraris and Le Mans cars. In 2005, 2006 & 2010 he was invited by Maserati to race in the Maserati Trofeo Championship. In 2009 he was invited by Lamborghini to drive in three races in the Blancpain Super Trofeo Championship.

Qualified MSA ARDS Class 'A' Race Instructor and International Race Licence holder Roberto also instructs part-time for Thruxton Motorsport Centre and at Manufacturers Days.
